“ॐ हौं जूं सः”

This mantra is chanted a total of 1,25,000 times during the Pooja by 13 learned Pandits. It is performed with great devotion and precision after taking a Sankalp (vow) in the client’s name. The Pooja requires details such as the client’s full name, date of birth, age, and birthplace, as the rituals are conducted on their behalf.

Pandits Required for Vastu Poojan

The number of Pandits (priests) required for performing a Vastu Poojan can vary depending on the scale of the ritual, the size of the property, and the level of detail involved. Here’s a detailed explanation:

1. Minimum Requirement

  • For a basic Vastu Poojan, 1 or 2 Pandits are sufficient.
    • Role of the First Pandit:
      • Leading the Pooja, chanting mantras, and performing the main rituals like Sankalp, Abhishek, and Havan.
    • Role of the Second Pandit:
      • Assisting with setting up the altar, managing offerings, and ensuring smooth proceedings.

2. Medium-Scale Vastu Poojan

  • For larger homes or offices, 3 to 5 Pandits may be needed.
    • Additional priests ensure proper chanting of mantras, especially if multiple jaap sessions (repetition of mantras) are involved.
    • They help conduct specific segments of the Pooja, such as:
      • Ganesh Poojan (invoking Lord Ganesha).
      • Navagraha Poojan (worship of the nine planets).
      • Vastu Purush Poojan (worship of the Vastu deity).

3. Large-Scale Vastu Poojan for Bigger Properties

  • For large commercial buildings, factories, or multi-story apartments, 7 to 11 Pandits are typically engaged.
    • This ensures that the Pooja covers the entire property and involves detailed rituals like:
      • Havan (fire ritual) performed in multiple locations within the premises.
      • Continuous chanting of Vastu Shanti Mantras in unison, amplifying the spiritual vibrations.
      • Inclusion of additional rituals, such as Navagraha Havan, Panchamrit Abhishek, and other specialized ceremonies.

Factors Determining the Number of Pandits

  1. Size of the Property:
    • Larger properties require more Pandits to ensure all areas are purified and balanced.
  2. Complexity of the Ritual:
    • If the Pooja includes detailed ceremonies like Navagraha Pooja, Havan, and extended mantras, more Pandits are required.
  3. Client’s Preference:
    • Some families or businesses prefer an elaborate Pooja involving additional Pandits to enhance the ritual’s energy.
  4. Occasion:
    • For special occasions like Griha Pravesh or inaugurations, more Pandits may be engaged for grandeur.

Benefits of Having More Pandits

  • Faster Completion: Multiple priests chanting simultaneously reduce the time required for the ritual.
  • Enhanced Energy: Collective chanting creates powerful vibrations, amplifying the spiritual benefits.
  • Detailed Rituals: Additional Pandits ensure every aspect of the Pooja is performed with precision.

Consultation and Planning

It is always advisable to consult a qualified Pandit or Vastu expert beforehand. They can recommend the ideal number of priests based on the property’s needs and the family’s preferences.

By involving the appropriate number of Pandits, the Vastu Poojan can be performed smoothly and effectively, ensuring positive energy, prosperity, and harmony in the space.
